Pakistan Cement Export From The Country During Last Four Months Posted 17.30% Growth

APP reported that Pakistan cement export from the country during last four months of current financial year posted 17.30% growth as about 2,641,573 tonnes of cement worth USD 190.03 million exported.

Data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics said that the export of cement during the same period of last financial year was recorded at 3,078,804 tonnes valuing USD 161.978 million.

Meanwhile, the export of gems and jewellery increased by 48.35% and 387.24% during the period from October to November 2012 as about 5 tonne gems worth USD 1.39 million exported as compared the 2 tonnes costing USD 0.939 million during same period of last year.

The data revealed that in first 4 months, jewellery export recorded 387.24 growths as country earned USD 905.91 million by exporting jewellery of different varieties which was recorded at USD 185.9 million during same period of last financial year.

However, furniture export from the country reduced by 1.01% as about 79,000 numbers of furniture worth USD 2.4 million exported in the period under review as against the 151,000 numbers costing USD 2.47 million in same period of last year.

From October to November 2012, country earned USD 0.433 million by exporting about 3,169 tonnes of molasses which was up by 73.20% adding that about 2,054 tonnes molasses costing USD 0.250 million exported during same period of last year.

Guar and guar preparations posted 53.55% growth during the period under review as about 9,916 tonnes of the products worth USD 45.66 million exported as compared to 10,186 tonnes of USD 29.74 million export during the same period of last year.
