Russia Registered a 2.6% Decline in Its Rolled Steel Product Output to 8.9 Million Mt

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the January-February period of the current year Russia registered a 2.6 percent decline in its rolled steel product output to 8.9 million mt, a 4.4 percent decrease in its crude steel output to 11.3 million mt and a 0.4 percent rise in its pig iron production to 8.3 million mt, all year on year. In the given period, Russia saw a 0.4 percent rise year on year in its steel pipe production to 1.5 million mt.

In addition, in January-February Russia produced 55.9 million mt of coal, down 1.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
