Belarus and Azerbaijan Have Agreed to Intensify Cooperation in Investment

Belarus and Azerbaijan have agreed to intensify cooperation in investment. To this end, on December 19th 2012 in Minsk, cooperation memorandums were signed at the Belarusian-Azerbaijani business forum.

The memorandums with the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation were signed by the National Agency for Investment and Privatization, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and the National Centre for Marketing and Price. An agreement was also signed with the National Centre for Technology Transfer.

Speaking at the forum, Deputy Economy Minister of Belarus Anton Kudasov said that now the cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan develops more than well. Thus, the turnover at the end of 2011 between the two countries exceeded USD 1 bn.

Mr Anton Kudasov said that "Companies with foreign investments have been actively working in this country for the last four years. Their number has increased to 40%, given the growing potential of the enterprises with foreign capital."
