Taiwan Ranks 6th with Average Per-Capita Net Assets Reaching NT$2.32 Million

Taiwan ranks 6th with average per-capita net assets reaching NT$2.32 million(US$77,333),according to the latest Global Wealth Report 2012 compiled by Allianz,a German multinational financial service company,

The report shows Taiwan's development being similar to the other advanced economies. While Taiwan's average per-capita net assets in 2011 only slightly increased 1.6%year on year(YoY),the aggregate net assets at the end of 2011 had already surged almost 20%from the end of 2007.

Taiwan's improvement in net asset ranking could be due to shrinking private debt during these years, contrasting sharply with many European economies.

The Allianz Global Wealth Report splits the subject countries into three wealth classes:high wealth countries(HWC)with average net per capita assets exceeding EUR 26,800;middle wealth countries(MWC)at between EUR 4,500 and EUR 26,800;and low wealth countries(LWC)at less than EUR 4,500.
