Styrolution Has Nominated an Increase of Eur30/Mt for Its Polystyrene Contracts in May

Styrolution has nominated an increase of Eur30/mt ($42/mt) for its polystyrene contracts in May, the company said on its website Tuesday.

The premium of its high impact polystyrene grade over general purpose grade was unchanged Eur105/mt.

The company did not specify the outright value of its PS contracts but Platts assessed GPPS net prices last on April 30 at Eur1,545/mt FD Northwest Europe.

The hike also reflected a rise in feedstock costs as the Northwest European styrene monomer contract price was fully settled at Eur1,405/mt FOB ARA, up Eur20/mt from April.
