According to report, Korea’s major auto sheet maker, Hyundai Hysco said it would commission commercial production at its new plant in Dangjin with annual capacity of 1.5 million tons.

The plan is to meet growing demand for auto sheet, especially from its parent company, Hyundai Kia Automotive Group.

Hysco sees to produce 4.8 million tons of flat products, such as CRC and coated steel, from 4.26 million tons in 2012.

The current vehicle exports in March were 258,067 units, rising 10% month-on-month but down by 16% year-on-year. The company keeps its original plan for new output in May.
