China has eased its three-year ban on Brazilian beef according to Brazilian Agriculture Department.
Eight beef processing plants and one poultry processing plant in Brazil have regain access to China
Brazilian beef exports to China were roughly $3.7 million annually before China imposed the embargo in December 2012. Brazilian beef exporters welcome the resumption of trade and the increased promise China holds. Asia is expected to drive the 60 percent increase in global beef consumption over the next few years. The value of Brazilian beef exports in 2013 totaled $6.7 billion
