In February this year, producer prices in French industry were almost stable, down just 0.1 percent month on month, following a month-on-month decline of 0.6 percent recorded in January, according to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). Producer prices for manufactured products in France remained stable in February compared to January and were down 1.6 percent compared to the same month of 2013.
In February of the current year, prices for exported manufactured products increased by 0.1 percent month on month, while a month-on-month increase of 0.1 percent was recorded for prices of exported transport equipment. On year-on-year basis, in February prices of exported manufactured products fell 1.3 percent, while prices of exported transport equipment saw a 0.2 percent decline.
Meanwhile, import prices for manufactured products in France in February were unchanged compared to January, but decreased by two percent compared to the same month of 2013.
