Shunde Expo

The home appliances industry in China is poised to see some positive changes with the China Shunde International Exposition for Household Electrical Appliances (Shunde Expo) rescheduled to take place from August 23-25 starting in 2013 from its usual date in October. The new dates sent a ripple of excitement through the industry. Although an earlier date means lesser preparation time for all the participants, organizers revealed the move is in response to the industry’s wishes to be more in sync with the production and sales cycle in China. New products and marketing campaigns in China are typically launched during March (Spring season) and August (Autumn season) every year and are also the prime buying seasons for dealers, while May and October are the retail boom periods when most dealers prefer investing in marketing efforts targeted at the end consumer market instead of procurement.
