Growing into one of the most influential and advanced exhibitions in China under a decade’s effort, the WCIF has been serving as an important platform in western China for trade expansion, investment promotion and diplomatic service. At the 10th WCIF in 2009, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, and 6 Heads of States attended the opening ceremony. 70 ministerial officials worldwide, 65 China’s governors and ministers, as well as 157 directors of international business associations and 580 renowned entrepreneurs both domestic and overseas also participated in 100 more activities. 1339 investment projects were signed, with an investment volume totaled approximately 86.6 billion US dollars.
