China-based makers exported 3.6GWp of PV modules to Japan in the first half of 2014. The US was the second-largest market with 2GWp and followed by the Netherlands, UK and Australia, according to China-based reports.
The five largest China-based PV module makers in terms of exports in the first half of 2014 were Trina Solar, CSI, Yingli Green Energy Holding, Jinko Solar and JA Solar Holdings.
In related news, China's National Energy Administration indicated that the total capacity for PV systems installed around China in the first half of 2014 was 3.3GWp, consisting of 2.3GWp of ground-mounted PV power-generating stations and 1GWp of distributed (mostly rooftop) PV systems.
