The European medium plate prices continue to fall this week. North Europe region has released the domestic price of December delivery medium plate nearly US$647~660/ton, lower than a week ago about €530~540/ton.
South Europe region domestic price was €460~470/ton, lower than previous €480~490/ton. North Europe region medium plate import price was €470~480/ton CFR, lower than previous €490~500/ton CFR, South Europe region import price was €460~470/ton, lower than previous €470~480/ton.
Most of market participants believe that prices have bottomed out. However, they indicate that the prices increased by European steel mills will not affect the current medium plate market, especially in South Europe.
