Kitchen Is Reckoning with The Possibility of a Further 2% to 3% Growth in Turnover

The executive board of The Modern Kitchen Working Group (AMK – Arbeitsgemeinschaft die Moderne Küche), is reckoning with the possibility of a further 2% to 3% growth in turnover in 2012 across the whole of the kitchen industry, which covers not only kitchen furniture manufacturers but also the appliance and accessories industries. However, the AMK board sees the further trend of the euro, raw-material prices and the employment market both at home and abroad as risk factors, especially in southern European countries. In addition, collective-agreement negotiations currently in progress in the metal industry will also trigger higher costs among some companies in the branch. Rising purchase prices are expected in the raw-materials sector in the second half of the year. Source:euwid-wood-products.com
