61 of top 100 over 300-meter high-rise buildings are in China, according to data by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Residential Committee (CTBUH).
In Shenzhen, there are eight over 300-meter high-rise buildings under construction and constructed. CBRE Group Inc (NYSE:CBG)'s executive director for China asset services said the number of super-high-rise buildings in China will exceed 1,000 in the next decade, four times of that in the US.
Asked if so many super-high-rise buildings will form an overcapacity, CBRE said the strong development demands of China will still make super-high-rise buildings in short supply in first-tier cities.
