New images of the Mazzanti Evantra V8 have been released ahead of the Italian supercar's debut appearance at the Top Marques exhibition in Monaco in 2013.
The mid-engined supercar was first announced in 2011 by'F&M by Mazzanti Automobili',which has since changed its name to simply Mazzanti Automobili.
Designed by Luca Mazzanti and Zsolt Tarnok–the Hungarian designer who penned the F&M Vulca sports car–the Evantra gets its name from the goddess of immortality in the ancient Etruscan culture.
The 1300kg supercar is powered by a 523kW/848Nm all-aluminium 7.0-litre V8 capable of propelling the Evantra from 0-100km/h in a claimed 3.2 seconds and to a top speed in excess of 350km/h.
A sequential six-speed transmission with paddle shifters has been developed by Sila Holding Industrial,a leader in robotised transmissions.
The Evantra boasts a steel chassis, reinforced with a chrome-molybdenum rollcage mounted under the roof for extreme rigidity and occupant protection.
The two-seat coupe can be ordered with two different bodies:Pro-Body,made of carbonfibre and composite materials;or One-Body,a handmade all-aluminium body.
Aerodynamics play a key role in the shape of the Evantra V8 and have been developed in conjunction with Ysim,a company that consults to various Formula One teams on active aerodynamics.
As a bespoke sports car that will be initially limited to just five cars per year, the Evantra gets all-natural aniline-prepared leather upholstery inside its minimalist cabin.
The centre console includes a race-like data and acquisition display, while the starter button is mounted onto the roof liner.
There are two engine/gearbox settings:Strada(street)and Corsa(race)on the lower part of the console, while there's a small display showing the gear ratio on the Nardi steering wheel.
