The world's steel giant ArcelorMittal has informed its customer to increase the prices for I sections and other categories to €650/ton ex-work in Europe for January production and deliveries.
Recently, several European steelmakers including Germany-based Salzgitter, Spain-based Celsa and Italy-based Duferdofin-Nucor have all announced to raise the prices for sections.
Industry sources expected that the reduced production of steel long products during the Christmas would help the European steelmakers to raise the prices further.
