According to data released by foreign trade ministry Secex, Brazil's exports of carbon steel wire rod and rebar jumped in April. The country's exports of wire rod surged by 342% from a month ago to 34,685 tons in April. In April, the country's export revenues generated by wire rods totaled US$22.16 million FOB, soaring by 326% from a month ago. Meanwhile, the export prices of wire rods averaged at US$665.7/ton FOB, higher than US$638.9/ton FOB in March. Meanwhile, the rebar exports totaled 29,167 tons, increasing by 16.5% from a month earlier. Its sales revenues of rebar exports totaled US$22.43 million FOB, up by 16.5% month on month.
