Recently, the prices of hot rolled coils (HRC) have remained flat at INR35, 750~INR36, 250/ton in the Indian domestic market even though the local steelmakers increased the prices.
Last week, the major steel mills in India such as Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) and JSW Steel hiked the HRC prices by INR500~INR1,000/ton.
However, the Indian steel market has remained sluggish in spite of steel mills’ price rise.
