Inspired by robust rollouts of new smartphones and tablet PCs,Compeq Manufacturing Co.,Ltd.,WUS Printed Circuit Co.,Ltd.,Unitech Printed Circuit Board Corp.,and Unimicron Technology Corp.expected brisk sales for their high-density interconnection(HDI)boards until the end of this year.
Compeq executives said the company's consolidated monthly revenue would hit a new high by the end of this year due to strong demand for HDI printed circuit boards.WUS has sold out its capacity for making the advanced boards while Unitech's monthly revenue from HDI sales will continue growing until the end of this year.Unimicron estimated its production will run at full capacity in September.
Compeq,WUS,Unitech and Unimicron realized seasonal surge in August,with WUS and Compeq seeing revenue hitting a 46-month high and Unimicron enjoying an 11-month high in revenue growth.
WUS's sales of HDI boards at Taiwan factories have been notable although the company has quitted the strategy of drumming up huge orders in Taiwan by shifting production lines for big-volume orders to mainland China in 2008.
Compeq and Unimicron are estimated to see monthly sales growing all the way until at least November this year thanks to their supplies to iPhone 5 and presumptive supplies to the upcoming iPad mini.The popular iPads and iPhones adopt three-layer or any-layer HDI boards.
Unimicron executives pointed out that the company's HDI production lines are running at 90-95%capacity.
