Reportedly, the European engineering steel market demand was still sluggish and prices to remain unchanged in May which has not changed from last month. Currently, the European steel bar transaction prices of C45 grade hot rolled round bar of 50-150mm diameter remain at €600-€620/ton delivered. Some of market participants said that the market was still weak and would affect the business. However, it did not see a sign for recovery trend and also did not expect any major reductions in prices over the coming months.
