American Textile Recycling Service is excited to bring its textile recycling mission to the Nashville Earth Day Festival, Saturday, April 20th at Centennial Park in Downtown Nashville.

A free, family-oriented event, the Nashville Earth Day Festival attracts over 15,000 attendees in celebration of National Earth Day and is widely considered to bring the city closer to Mayor Karl Dean's goal to be "the greenest city in the Southeast." ATRS Recycling will be the only textile recycler at the festival. Attendees are encouraged to bring a bag of unwanted clothes, shoes, toys, and household items to its booth for recycling. Textiles collected at the festival will provide funding for ATRS charity partner MADD of Tennessee that advocates for families against drunk driving and underage drinking. Other sponsors and vendors include Coca-Cola, Waste Management, and Walmart.

"We are proud to be a part of the Nashville green community and support the Mayor's Workplace Challenge to reduce waste by 30-50%," says Nathan Jones, Operations Manager for ATRS Tennessee. "Music City residents can help reach this goal each day by recycling into our easy, convenient recyclers and support our local chapter of MADD in the process."

ATRS is the fastest growing textile recycler in the U.S. Its socially responsible business model provides free textile recycling solutions for the public, job stimulation for local communities and abroad and much-needed funding for worthy local charities. With branches in 11 markets, including Texas, Florida, Michigan, Tennessee, Atlanta, Oklahoma, Arizona, Colorado, and Southern California, ATRS Recycling is committed to keeping textile waste from local landfills and promoting a greener tomorrow.
