Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Mehdi Ghazanfari, stated that by 2015, the country s cement output will grow to 110 million tons, reported Tehran Times. Ghazanfari said that Iran s cement output stands at 74 million tons at the current time. Last year, Tehran s cement production rose by 8 percent from a year earlier, exceeding 66.4 million tons, whereas more than 10.4 million tons of cement were exported during the period. During the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year, the Islamic Republic s exports of cement and clinker reached 3.34 million tons. It is worth noting that in the quarter, around 2.89 million tons of cement were exported, in addition to 449, 000 tons of clinker. Source: uaecement
