According to data released by the customs, Taiwan imported 15,954 tons of wire rods with diameter less than 14mm in February, slumping by 34% from a month ago. The import prices averaged at NT$18,416/ton, falling by NT$734/ton from a month ago.
Among them, 5,598 tons were from Russia, 4,184 tons were from Korea; 2,596 tons were from the UK and 1,026 tons were from Germany.
Meanwhile, Taiwan’s imports of wire rods with diameters more than 14mm totaled 885 tons in February, falling by 22% from a month ago. The import prices averaged at NT$19,590/ton, slumping by NT$2,092/ton form January
