The "Strategy Analytics" said, in the first quarter of 2013, India replaced Japan as the world's third largest smartphone market, the shipments jumped 163%, far above the global average. The first and the second is also China and United States, but the growth rate is far behind India, China is 86% and United States is 19%; Japan's smartphone shipments grew by 24%.
For brand, India's smartphone market is growing rapidly with Apple, Samsung and android smartphones - Micromax. At the same time, the own brand - Karboon and Spice, their shipments have been increased.
In Indian market, the Apple become the second largest suppliers behind Samsung. In the fourth quarter of 2013 in India, the market share of Apple is 15.6%, Samsung is the first of 38.8%.
