While Baidu Inc. (Nasdaq: BIDU) is suing Qihoo 360 Technology Co., Ltd (NYSE: QIHU) and demanding compensation of CNY 100 million, a local court in Beijing has also accepted a lawsuit of the latter suing the former for shielding search users and demanding compensation of CNY 400 million.
A local court in Beijing has held hearings for the former lawsuit for Baidu to sue Qihoo 360 for illicit competition. However, the defendant believed that the prosecutor has allowed snapshot by Google, Bing and Yahoo in a white list, only shielding So.com, which belongs to unfair competition and violates antimonopoly laws.
