China Merchants Group (CMG) announced on May 31 that it signed a framework agreement with the government of Sri Lanka to invest in and operate highways and container terminals in the country.
The phase 1 of the Colombo South Container Terminal, invested by the Chinese group, has been basically completed and is expected to begin operations in early July.
