China's Average Crude Steel Output Marks Third Highest Ever

National Bureau of Statistics of China has announced that in September this year the average daily crude steel output in China was 2.1807 million mt, up 1.99 percent compared to August, marking the third highest output for crude steel in a single month in history.

Meanwhile, in September this year, the total crude steel output in China amounted to 65.42 million mt, up 11 percent year on year. In the January-September period, the crude steel output totaled 587.38 million mt, up by 8 percent year on year.

In the January-September period, China's pig iron output totaled 539.63 million mt, up by 6.9 percent year on year. In September alone, the output of pig iron totaled 59.04 million mt, up by 11.2 percent year on year.

In the first nine months this current year, China's finished steel output totaled 795.45 million mt, up by 11.7 percent year on year. In September, the finished steel output totaled 93.55 million mt, uo by 15.5 percent year on year. While its average daily finished steel output in September was 3.1183 million mt, up by 5.14 percent month on month.
