Jiangsu province has been considering providing subsidies for BIPV solar projects, according to China-based media outlet,Solar-PV.This subsidy may help China's domestic solar industry weather the storm and promote BIPVs.
According to the report, the feed-in-tariff(FIT)provided by the province in 2012 is CNY1.3/kWh(US$0.21/kWh).Out of the CNY1.3/kWh,the federal government provides CNY1/kWh and the local government provides CNY0.3/kWh.The provincial subsidy of CNY0.3/kWh will decrease by 10%per year in the future. The fall seems to be quite significant, but compared to the price fall of solar products, the subsidies are still profitable, said the report.
