According to the Turkish Statistics Institute (Turkish Statistical Institute) released data show that in the first quarter of 2013, Turkey imported stainless steel total 91216 metric tons, down 0.6% year on year. Only in March, the stainless steel total imported 33752 metric tons, rose 19%, up 6.7% from a year earlier.
In the first quarter, the largest stainless steel coil importer of Turkey is China Taiwan, imports of 22665 metric tons, up 22% from a year earlier. Germany is the second largest stainless steel coil importer of Turkey, imports of 8900 metric tons. Finnish is the third, imports of 8600 metric tons.
