Taiwanese Steel Prices Would Bottom out Said Hsin Kuang Steel

The president of Hsin Kuang Steel, one of the major coil centers in Taiwan said that the Taiwanese steel prices would bottom out in the fourth quarter of this year and rise slight in the first quarter of 2013.

It’s learned that the global iron ore prices have rebounded to US$124/ton recently from US$80/ton in the end of the third quarter.

Besides, several coil centers in Taiwan said that their sales volumes in the fourth quarter have increased by around 10%~20% from a quarter ago.

Meanwhile, Hsin Kuang Steel said that China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan should hike the new prices for next January and February. Accordingly, it may help to push the end users to return to purchase.
