China National Gold Group Corporation believed that gold consumption will surpass 1,000 tons in 2013 full year, rising 20.2% from a year earlier.
Deputy General Manager of the company revealed that China has remained world number two for six consecutive years in terms of gold consumption.
In 2012, China recorded gold output of 403 tons, hiking 11.66% from a year ago, ranking number one worldwide for six consecutive years. The figure reached 270 tons in January-August period of 2013 and is predicted to break 430 tons in the full year, making a record high.
