Visteon is planning to unveil a connected cockpit concept for vehicles at the Electronica 2014 in Munich, Germany.
The cockpit has been designed to connect all aspects of the car to Cloud computing and the driver in a safe manner.
The design is called OASIS (Optimized. Adaptable. Secure. Intelligent. Seamless) which will integrate driver's custom profile to the vehicle infotainment system.
The company says that there has been an increase in the number of consumers who wirelessly connecting their vehicles to Cloud and mobile devices, and the new cockpit concept is expected to increase the safety of the entire system.
Visteon global connected services Mark Zeinstra said: "OASIS protects the vehicle inside and out.
"Visteon secures the in-vehicle network to deliver seamless connectivity through a single access point allowing firewall protection and validation of all messages."
The concept is also capable of tracking the driver's interaction with the vehicle and accordingly adapts to the driver's preferences to customized driving experience.
