Birds was selected via the LEGO Ideas process.
LEGO Birds, a new set selected via the LEGO Ideas process, will be available from January 2015.
The set was submitted to LEGO Ideas by keen gardener and bird enthusiast Thomas Poulsom and selected by LEGO Ideas members.
Each replica bird hails from a different continent: the Robin from Europe, the Blue Jay from North America and the Hummingbird from South America.
The models come with their own presentation stands showing their scientific names, and the set comes with three booklets containing information about each of the species.
