Pfleiderer Grajewo is presently exploring two different scenarios for its Russian operations in Novgorod. The first option would see the company sell the particleboard producer Pfleiderer OOO and an MDF/HDF project being undertaken by Pfleiderer MDF OOO, which was shelved indefinitely in 2009. The proceeds would be used to enhance the firm‘s financial position and to make investments in Polish activities. The second option would maintain Russian operations and complete the MDF/HDF project. However, a co-investor would have to come on board for this to happen. According to its latest quarterly report released on 29 August, Pfleiderer Grajewo believes that a decision will be made by year‘s end. Source: euwid-wood-products
