Uniden Has Extended Its Range of "Crash Cam" in-Car Vehicle Recorders

More Crash Camera Choices

Uniden has extended its range of  "crash cam"  in-car vehicle recorders, which are often used in trucks, with the release of the iGO Cam 750.

The new crash cam is designed for drivers wanting to protect themselves from road-related accidents and disputes.

The Uniden iGO Cam series comes with the inclusion of speed camera warnings built into the crash camera device. The speed camera warnings alert drivers of upcoming fixed speed cameras and red light cameras, reminding motorists to slow down.

The iGO Cam 750 is equipped with the latest in-vehicle accident recording ‘black box’ technology. Built-in G-sensor and Collision Detection Mode ensure the camera identifies any changes in motion, which will instantly trigger recording. In the event of an accident, this gives drivers the ability to analyse the direction of impact and view how it happened.

Other new safety features include Lane Assist (requires correct calibration to capture road markets), providing drivers with visual and audible alerts when the vehicle is drifting over a lane while in motion. Lane Assist has been designed to prompt long journey motorists and drivers prone to fatigue, such as truck drivers, to take adequate breaks and avoid mishaps.

The iGO Cam 750 combines Full HD 1080p with an ultra-wide 170° angle lens to deliver the smoothest possible footage. The improved picture quality makes it easier for road users to report on-road incidents to police and insurance companies.

A 2.7” inch LCD colour display provides a bright, easy-to-view screen. Other features include a micro SD slot and Night Vision for clear footage, even in low-light scenarios. A plug-and-play device, the iGO Cam 750 is easy to install, configure and operate. A quick-release clip allows it to be easily dismantled while its compact and portable design lets drivers easily move the crash cam between vehicles as required.

Uniden recently extended its iGO Cam range with the release of the Crash Cam app, which turns any iOS or Android smartphone into a single-camera crash cam. Priced at just AU$4.49, the app is an affordable solution for drivers who want to trial the crash cam functionality.
