The Export Value of Russia's Ferrous Metal Falls by 8.6 Percent in H1

In the January-June period of the current year, Russia's ferrous metal export volume decreased by 8.6 percent year on year to 18.342 million mt, including 1.85 million mt of pig iron, down 16.3 percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat). The total value of Russia's ferrous metal exports in January-June this year was $10.09 billion, down 15.5 percent year on year.

In the January-June period this year, Russia's ferrous metal imports increased by 6.9 percent year on year to 3.164 million mt, including 487,800 mt of steel tubes, up 23.2 percent year on year. The total value of Russia's ferrous metal imports in January-June this year was $2.886 billion, down 2.3 percent year on year.
