U.S. Army to present the "Army What Makes You Strong Music & Leadership Event" at the Memphis Hip-Hop Expo 2012 featuring high-tech simulators, prize giveaways, performance by multi-platinum music producer Drumma Boy and more.

The Memphis Hip Hop Expo 2012 which is a part of the Memphis Hip Hop Weekend (August 30 - September 3) showcases hip hop, trends, technology and more while focusing on today's generation and the next generation of music and talent.

The "Army What Makes You Strong Music & Leadership Event" being presented at the family friendly Hip-Hop Expo pre-show by the U.S. Army, the main branch of the United States Armed Forces, will take place on August 31, 2012 from 3PM - 10PM at the Memphis Cook Convention Center. The Hip-Hop Expo pre-show, which will be FREE to the public, will feature stage presentations of the Army's music program, intense training, college tuition and more, plus a live show and hip-hop music performance by Drumma Boy with a backstage meet and greet with U.S. Army officials and the multi-platinum music producer and performer himself.

The pre-show's aim is to provide those looking for careers in the music and entertainment field options for life success as well as career options such as the U.S. Army's rarely talked about music program, which provides the chance to play professional quality instruments plus paid vacations, life insurance, medical and dental benefits, educational benefits (tuition for college) and more.

While protecting the country, the U.S. Army is motivating young people to be strong leaders and better citizens by providing them with realistic and successful options by showcasing some of its state-of-the-art technology, intense training and unique experiences which will be highlighted by the Army at the free pre-show, Friday, August 31, 2012 from 3PM - 10PM.

In addition, attendees who come out to the FREE event, will also get a chance to participate in the U.S. Army's "Strength In Action Zone" interactive experience, which features competitive challenges with prize giveaways, team-based, high-tech and action-packed simulators based on realistic U.S. Army missions, an Apache helicopter flight simulation and more. Families with teens, college students, high schoolers, musicians and band members, music fans, fans of interactive military games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops and others are encouraged to come out to this family friendly event that's free to the public.

The Hip-Hop Weekend & Expo takes places from August 30-September 3, 2012 with the free pre-show taking place August 31, 2012 from 3PM-10PM. Following the pre-show, the Expo & Trade show will carry forward on September 1-2, 2012 from 12PM - 8PM also at the Memphis Cook Convention Center with exhibitors and vendors, celebrity guests, a hip-hop art exhibit, fashion show, dance showcase, special guest performances and more.
