McLaren Automotive has announced enhancements to its MP4-12C supercar for the 2013 model year.
For the 2013 model, the 3.8litre V8 twin turbo engine will deliver an output of 616hp, an increase of 24hp from its earlier 592hp, which is achieved through new engine fuel mapping.
MP4-12C' top speed is increased from 205mph to 207mph, while its enhanced 7-Speed SSG transmission will deliver enhanced throttle response.
The faster, smoother shifts will allow the supercar to retain its earlier 24.2 mpg combined rating.
McLaren said that the 12C's intake sound generator (ISG) system, which manages the engine intake sound heard in the cabin, is now programmable through all the three levels in all Powertrain modes which include Normal, Sport and Track.
The company will also enhance headlight activation settings of the 12C by installing AUTO-lights mode, which will put on the headlights automatically during rains and will also equip enhanced climate control system.
McLaren said that the new vehicle lift option on 2013 model year vehicles will allow 12C to be raised front and rear for enhanced ground clearance.
The company said that it will also offer the existing 12C owners with a package of upgrades, which include the extra 25PS (25hp) output.
