TSMC Solar Aims to Hike Energy Conversion Rates From 15.7% Recorded to 17% in 2014

TSMC Solar, a CIGS (copper-indium-gallium-selenide) thin-film PV module maker established by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), aims to hike energy conversion rates from 15.7% recorded in mid-June 2013 to 17% in 2014, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.

TSMC Solar's CIGS PV modules measure 65cm by 165cm, the paper indicated. TSMC Solar is considering stepping into the PV system installation business through forming strategic partnerships.
