Woodchuck Hard Cider has expanded its Cellar Series handcrafted cider lineup with the launch of Woodchuck Cellar Series Smoked Apple in the US.
This new cider is the second offering from the Cellar Series line, which features a selection of rare ciders.
Cider maker John Matson has produced this new cider in collaboration with Vermont Smoke and Cure.
Cellar Series Smoked Apple is a blend of apple pomace, which is smoked using maple and applewood chips in a custom smokehouse of Vermont Smoke and Cure.
The smoked pomace was then infused into small batch fermented cider. The result is a full bodied deep amber cider.
It offers strong crisp apple notes with hints of vanilla, which are balanced on an applewood smoked backdrop.
Pasteurized and packed in a 22oz bottle, the new cider contains 6.5%ABV. The company has started shipping and the cider is available on US store shelves for $4.99.
