This year’s Yarn Expo Autumn will take place from 21 – 23 October at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in hall N4, with a strong line-up of yarn and fibre suppliers from around the world having already confirmed their participation.
Over 100 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions including China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Lithuania, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand and Turkey will take part, with many repeat exhibitors returning again this year.
Exhibitor numbers have already surpassed last year’s figure, with the increased participation providing even more sourcing options for visitors. On offer will be a range of products made with natural and blended yarns including cotton, wool and flax / ramie, as well as regenerated and man-made fibres and yarns, plus a broad range of specialty products including elastic, and fancy and blended yarns.
Leading domestic suppliers to showcase an assortment of high-quality yarns and fibres
Yarn Expo Autumn is an ideal opportunity for overseas buyers to gain access to some of the leading domestic suppliers in the industry. Two such Chinese companies are Fulida Group Hangzhou Import & Export Co Ltd and China Resources Textiles (Holdings) Co Ltd. They will showcase the different latest fine yarn, cotton textile yarn and nylon yarn products.
Overseas exhibitors see fair as the ideal gateway to the fast growing Chinese market
This fair is increasingly recognised as the ideal gateway to reach the fast-growing domestic market, as confirmed by the strong overseas exhibitor presence this year. Two of the world’s main cotton manufacturing countries, India and Pakistan, both have a large involvement this year, with the Indian Pavilion and Pakistan Zone set to be popular attractions for visitors.
Organised by Texprocil, the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, the Indian Pavilion has grown in 2013 to include more than 30 exhibitors. India is one of the world’s fastest growing producers of yarn, and there is strong anticipation for what new products Indian suppliers will bring to the fair this year.
Due to the strong interest in the competitively priced cotton yarns on offer in the Pakistan Zone last year, an expanded version will provide buyers with more choice this year. Exhibitor participation has more than tripled, with the zone occupying 600 sqm of exhibition space.
More sourcing opportunities are also on offer for visitors thanks to three concurrent events. Buyers can attend Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2013, which is located in halls E1 – E7, N1 – N3 and W1 – W5, as well as the PH Value fair (previously known as the China International Knitting Trade Fair) in halls N4 – N5. In addition, the Planet Textiles Conference, the annual significant event which addresses the crucial issue on sustainability in the global textile sector, will take place in the Kerry Hotel alongside the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
Yarn Expo Autumn is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; China Cotton Textile Association; China Wool Textile Association; China Chemical Fiber Association; China Bast & Leaf Fibres Textiles Association; and China Textile Information Centre.
