Martelli has acquired 100% of the shares in Martelli Gonser, now known as Martelli Tunisia, the company it has been working with in the huge North-African market. The Group, that flies the flag for Italian creativity in textile finishing techniques, has now further strengthened its position in a central spot for many global fashion brands.
This acquisition achieves two goals: creating a powerful strategic hub in a geographic area of major importance and, at the same time, providing all the brands that produce here with a reliable all-round service.
Tunisia, a leading player in the textile industry, combines experience with competitive costs, a mix that attracted many companies from all four corners of the globe. This is particularly true for European firms, now manufacturing many of their own products in the country, as both shores of the Mediterranean become more closely integrated.
For these brands, positioned in the medium-high band, it’s quality, every step of the way, the essential factor in meeting their consumers’ expectations: a need that Martelli can now satisfy to the full, offering the whole of North Africa the treatments, finishing and washing techniques that have made it famous all over the world.
Meanwhile things are also on the move in Italy, the Group’s native land, where the SS 2015 collection has just been created. Meticulous research and innovation has born fruit in the form of new images, new styles and new ideas, to offer each and every customer technical solutions brimming over with personality, where the fabric becomes the means of expressing the esprit du temps.
For the Group, this contemporary spirit also takes in care for the environment, a commitment that Martelli has been true to for years by favouring natural and eco-friendly treatments, thus delivering results that benefit the entire fashion industry.
