In the first seven months of the current year, Ukraine registered a one percent decrease in its finished steel product output to 17.147 million mt, a 0.2 percent decrease in its crude steel output to 19.350 million mt, and a 0.9 percent rise in its pig iron production to 16.951 million mt, all year on year, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers.
The country's production of metallurgical coke in the given period went down by nine percent year on year to 10.343 million mt.
In July alone, Ukraine produced 2.808 million mt of crude steel, up 2.9 percent month on month.
