US-based cleaning products manufacturer Sunshine Makers has selected MeadWestvaco (MWV)’s all-plastic trigger sprayer VersaPlast for its products.
The new lightweight VersaPlast launched by MWV for the North America Home & Garden industry, has a new design that includes a door foamer nozzle option.
Depending on their application needs and preferences, the user can choose either foam or spray dispensing,
According to MWV, the design with the easy-grip Ergo Trigger also provides convenience for the user.
Simple Green senior vice president of operations Jeff Hyder said the company did a full restaging of its packaging and delivery systems, as a part of its US-sourced policy and its desire to improve its packaging sustainability.
"MWV's VersaPlast achieves our goals by providing an American-made trigger that helps us address our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability," Hyder said.
The selection of MWV's sprayer is said to support Simple Green's socially responsible mission and will fit into its local supply chain strategy, minimizing transportation emissions.
The trigger design is also expected to eliminate an estimated 19.6t of resin and 10.2t of metal annually and will cut down Simple Green's resource consumption.
Based on the all-plastic VersaPlast SP05, which is available in other markets around the world at present, VersaPlast features a different aesthetic unique to North America, MWV said.
