CCFA announced recently, French passenger car sales were 143,866 in February this year, down 12.1% year on year compared to 163,010 of February last year. In the first 2 months, French passenger car sales were 268,164, down 13.5% year on year compared to 310,056 of the same period last year.
In February, French car enterprise of the largest sales was Peugeot Citroen. The Peugeot brand sales declined 9.1% year on year from 24,863 to 22,605, and the Citroen brand decreased 22.2% year on year from 23,698 to 18,428.
In February, French car brand of the highest sales was Renault, down 19.5% year on year from 33,430 to 26,920. In addition, Volkswagen brand sales declined 4.4% year on year from 13,282 to 12,698; Ford brand sales were down 33.4% year on year from 9,309 to 6,197.
