IDEV Technologies, a developer of peripheral vascular devices, has introduced SurePath Guidewires in the US.
The SurePath Guidewires are designed for use in peripheral and coronary procedures and its proprietary alloy provides good kink resistance, pushability, and steerability.
IDEV global commercial operations vice president Trent Reutiman said, "Different catheter-based procedures and physician preferences demand a range of guidewire characteristics and we believe that SurePath fills a significant gap in the marketplace for a device with a unique combination of strength and flexibility."
Austin Heart spokesperson Matthew Selmon said, "The shapeable tip holds well, and the torque was excellent."
The company has displayed the SurePath Guidewires at the New Cardiovascular Horizons annual meeting held between 6-9 June 2012 in New Orleans, Louisiana,US.
