Japanese carmaker Mazda Motor (MMC) has launched a special edition Axela Sports 20S-SKYACTIV Advanced Style car in the country.
The new model will be powered by SKYACTIV-G 2.0 gasoline engine mated to 6-speed EC-AT Activematic transmission.
According to the carmaker, the special edition model is based on the Axela Sport 20S-SKYACTIV and offers enhanced ride quality, reduced noise in the cabin.
The upgraded safety features include adaptive front-lighting system (AFS) which changes the direction of the headlights along with vehicle speed and movement of steering.
Other safety features include the rear vehicle monitoring system, which detects vehicles approaching from behind on either side during highway driving, as well as warns the drivers about the speeding vehicle during change of lanes.
The upgraded Axela range, comprising Sports 20S-SKYACTIV Advanced Style and 20S-SKYACTIV models, are expected to deliver a fuel economy rating of 17.4kmpl.
The company has also launched Mazdaspeed Axela model which is powered by MZR 2.3-litre direct-injection turbo engine.
Mazda said that the new special edition Axela Sports 20S-SKYACTIV Advanced Style car is on sale in Japan at a price of $29 947.
