MediPurpose, a manufacturer of advanced wound care products, has opened a new medical product distribution center in Born, Netherlands.
The new center will distribute MediPurpose's SurgiLance safety lancet and babyLance safety infant heelsticks orders to its EU medical device customers.
MediPurpose anticipates that the medical product distribution center will reduce product orders turnaround times by up to 80%.
The SurgiLance safety lancet, a fingerstick device, is available in seven models, ranging from 18-28 gauges and 1.0-2.3 mm penetration depths.
The babyLance is a single-use infant heelstick utilized to obtain a blood sample from the heels of newborn (babyLance BLN) and preemie (babyLance BLP) infants.
MediPurpose said the new center will be managed by Kuehne + Nagel Group, a provider of IT-based lead logistics solutions.
Kuehne + Nagel site manager Ard Houtappels said the company will offer MediPurpose the quality and flexibility they need for all aspects of their logistic requirements in regards to warehousing, transport, customs and fiscal representation.
"We look forward to working closely with MediPurpose to facilitate their planned growth in Europe and to offer them the excellence they and their customers deserve and require," Houtappels added.
