US-based medical diagnostic device company Welch Allyn has launched its Welch Allyn CP 150, the new connectivity-ready electrocardiograph device, in Canada.
The Welch Allyn CP 50 ECG has an intuitive design and functionality and offers the speed and power of a fully-featured ECG in a compact, portable size.
In addition to administering patient tests at the push of a button, the device can interface with the Welch Allyn CardioPerfect workstation to connect, manage and share patient information.
The Welch Allyn CP 150, which will help improve practice workflow, includes a seven-inch, color touch screen display with an integrated user interface and an instant-on feature.
In order to identify lead connection problems easily and efficiently, a lead quality display has been incorporated into the touch screen.
The battery-operation powers up the device quickly to take an ECG at a moment's notice and the advanced filters provide optimal ECG trace quality to ensure accurate readings.
Around 100 ECG test results can be saved on the device and these results can also be transferred directly to a USB memory stick for additional storage or uploaded to the practice's data management system through the Welch Allyn CardioPerfect workstation.
Welch Allyn cardiopulmonary products senior manager Peter Glocker noted the CP 150 has a number of connectivity options to help manage and share patient information.
"Additionally, this easy-to-use device will allow clinicians across Canada to do more with less because they can administer tests, interface with other systems and help reduce data documentation time. This flexible ECG offer the best of both worlds -- simple, accurate testing and intuitive data management capabilities," Glocker added.
