Russian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Vyksa Steel Works, a part of Russia-based OMK Group, has announced its production results for March and the first three months of the current year.
Accordingly, in the January-March period Vyksa Steel Works' output of steel pipes amounted to 385,700 mt, up 12 percent year on year, including 202,400 mt of large diameter pipes, up 37.1 percent year on year. In March alone, Vyksa Steel Works produced 151,800 mt of steel pipes, up 27.8 percent, including 81,500 mt of large diameter pipes, up 72.3 percent, both year on year.
In the first three months of the current year, Vyksa Steel Works' output of railway wheels decreased by 16 percent year on year to 176,000 wheels. In March alone, Vyksa Steel Works produced 35,300 railway wheels, down 51.2 percent compared to March 2012.
